Our Story

Welcome to The Fertility Center of Oregon. Our team of experts are here to help you through the course of consultation, diagnostic evaluation and treatment. Whether your circumstances are straightforward or complicated, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs. OUR PRACTICE The Fertility Center of Oregon was born in 2002 when Dr. Douglas Austin opened facilities in Eugene for in vitro fertilization. Prior to the construction of the IVF lab, Dr. Austin partnered with Dr. Paul Kaplan who started the practice as The Fertility Center at Women’s Care in 1976. AAAASF Accredited Facility Dr. Kaplan retired in 2005. In 2015 the center earned AAAASF accreditation for the commitment to promoting the highest quality of patient safety. Dr. Austin and his team continue to offer reproductive endocrinology and infertility, as well as hormone management, well-woman and LBGTQ services.
