Dr. Andrew Dow was born and raised in the Eugene-Springfield area. He and his younger brother, Dr. Coleman Dow, are the 4th generation of dentists in the Dow family. Dr. Andrew is excited to be back in the area doing what he loves! Practice: The location of Eugene Periodontics & Implant Dentistry was finalized in July 2011 and construction will start in early October and last until December of 2011. In the mean time Dr Dow practices as a contract Periodontist for local dentists in Lane County. Education: Dr. Dow attended the University of Oregon earning his bachelor’s degree in General Science with minors in Chemistry and Business. After graduation he attended Oregon Health & Sciences University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.). While in dental school he volunteered for several dental causes and was active in student government. After completing dental school Dr. Dow continued his education at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine postdoctoral periodontal residency program. The program is notably the first program to offer advanced training in laser periodontal therapy as well as traditional periodontal training. While at Colorado he attended the Misch International Implant Institute, participated in several study clubs, and performed research, earning his masters degree in biologic sciences. Schallhorn Annual Award for Periodontal Excellence in Academics, Clinical Proficiency, Meritorious Research and Interpersonal Relationships. Memberships: Dr Dow is an active member of the Lane County Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the American Academy of Periodontology.

Daily tasks:
-disinfecting and setting up treatment rooms
-taking photos
-documenting periodontal data
-processing and sterilizing instruments

-troubleshooting equipment issues
-running errands

Growing periodontal practice looking for a front office team member with a great attitude and self-management skills. This is a full time position and we are seeking an individual who is interested in a long term commitment. Must have a positive & friendly attitude, detailed oriented, time management skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, be skilled in oral and written communication, have excellent problem-solving skills, knowledge of dental terminology, dental insurance, treatment plan presentation, be comfortable communicating with the doctor and the back-office team to ensure the patient experience is top notch. Knowledge and use of electronic records is desired.
This position can and should evolve into a more challenging position, interoffice communication and marketing our office to the dental community.
Job responsibilities include greeting patients, managing the patient experience from check-in to treatment presentation, receiving/posting payments, checking and replying to emails, appointment confirmation, answering phones and discussing financial and insurance billing information with patients.
Our office takes the safety of our patients and staff serious. We continue to use all available PPE in our office, which includes the wearing of scrubs and N95 masks and have a valid covid-19 vaccination record for all team members.
This position is a 5 day a week position with 38 to 40 hours and salary is based on experience. Our benefit package includes: PTO, Medical insurance*, Dental benefits*, FSA* (after 90 days), 401k w/ profit sharing (after 12 month.
