“Go find a farmer and never let them go.” 🤝👨🌾
The truth is, the industrial food system is often worse than we think. When you buy from a grocery store, that meat likely comes from CAFOs (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations) where you can’t know how the animal or plant was treated. 🚫🥩
The solution is a return to resilient local farmers in our communities. By sourcing from a local, regenerative network, you ensure your food comes from people you trust and land that is being enriched, not depleted.
What does it look like to support regenerative agriculture in your own community? 🏡 Captain Soup CEO and farmer Brian Gaudette shares three key ways to get involved today:
✅ Know your farmer👨🌾: Look for and support local farmers who sell meat, eggs, and produce. When you buy from a grocery store, you can’t necessarily know how that animal or plant was treated. 🐓
✅ Start your own backyard garden or chicken coop. 🐓
✅ Build a resilient, local food community. 🌿
It’s time to move away from global monocrops and back to the resilient local village that looks after one another. 🏡🍎
