Hospice is often misunderstood. Throughout National Hospice & Palliative Care Month, we’re clearing up some of the most common misconceptions about hospice care so families can make informed, confident decisions. But we also know that questions don't always fit into neat categories or come with concise answers.

As a nonprofit organization, helping patients and their loved ones understand hospice and their end-of-life options is part of our mission. We invite you to call 541-228-3050 to talk to a Cascade Health staff member, who can answer your questions and give you the information you need to decide if hospice is right for you.

A heartfelt thank you to our veteran hospice volunteers! Through the We Honor Veterans Program, your compassionate service, companionship and recognition ceremonies make a profound difference in the lives of our veteran patients and their families. Your dedication ensures that every veteran receives the honor and respect they so deeply deserve at the end of their life's journey, and we are so grateful for all you do. ❤️💙🤍

Behind every moment of comfort and compassion in hospice care is a whole team working together - nurses, aides, doctors, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and more. National Hospice & Palliative Care Month is a chance to highlight that team - but we appreciate you every month and every day of the year. Thank you for the care you give and the peace you bring.

We love getting a delivery from Letters for Rose, a group of students at South Eugene High School who write letters to seniors to foster connection and break isolation. The handmade cards are so sweet, and we know our Home Health and Hospice patients will be touched.

As National Physical Therapy Month comes to an end, we're going back to the beginning - highlighting physical therapy students just starting their careers with a rotation at Cascade Health Physical & Hand Therapy Clinic.

Check out our latest blog post to read about Tami Rungpanarat, who initially aspired to be an interpreter because she loved connecting with people and hearing their stories. But a high school anatomy class and a teacher who recognized her potential helped her discover PT.

“After researching it, I quickly fell in love with the profession. PT allows me to combine my passion for language and communication with helping people heal and improve their physical health.” We look forward to the connection and care Tami will bring to the PT profession!

We're at the Oregon Resource Association’s NW Conference on Disability Services this week, presenting with New Horizons on how Home Health and Home Care services work together to support clients. A big shoutout to this year's ORA Works of Heart Award winners, the outstanding direct support professionals (DSPs) being recognized for their dedication, skill and passion. We're looking forward to another day of connection, collaboration and learning!
