I remember sitting in my car listening to holiday music… and crying.

The second thing that completely changed in my diet after menopause? Fiber.

Menopause affect digestion, detox, gut health and blood sugar balance. So fiber became non-negotiable for feeling good.

I aim for 35–50g of fiber daily now, way more than before.

I always ate plenty of veggies - but now I consciously include extra sprinklings of high fiber foods with every meal, snack, and cookie recipe.

Some of my favorite High-Fiber Add Ins are chia seeds, lentils or white beans, berries, apples, avocado, and veggies with the skin on.

And I'm reaping the rewards!
Fiber helps balance blood sugar, which got trickier post-menopause.
It also keeps me full longer, so I snack less and feel more stable.
Bonus: my digestion and bloating improved noticeably.

If you’re in midlife, track your fiber for a few days —this one small change can make a huge difference.

If it's low - increase it SLOWLY not all at once.

And an easy way to make the holidays healthier is to include fiber wherever you see it. Even a high protein/fiber breakfast each day can help you balance your blood sugar and detox well the rest of the day (and night.)
