How much do hormones effect our body?
Women experience natural hormonal shifts throughout life, but the most significant changes often occur during perimenopause and menopause. Estrogen, progesterone, and sometimes testosterone begin to decline — often starting as early as the mid‑30s — and these changes can affect everything from mood and metabolism to sleep, energy, and sexual wellness. Because these shifts happen gradually, many women don’t immediately connect their symptoms to hormones.
Shifts in estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone can lead to a wide range of symptoms, such as:
Hot flashes and night sweats
Irregular or changing menstrual cycles
Fatigue and low energy
Mood swings, irritability, or increased anxiety
Difficulty sleeping
Weight gain or changes in body composition
Reduced libido or sexual discomfort
Brain fog or trouble concentrating
Dry skin or thinning hair
These symptoms often overlap with stress or aging, which is why proper evaluation and lab testing are so important.
