Here are some tips to help yourself or your child create a study schedule. First, choose a place to study or work in your home that is quiet and distraction-free. Be sure there is ample lighting available. When it’s time to start, make a short list of priorities so nothing gets missed. Be sure you don't overwhelm yourself with too many tasks; the ones that are due soon are the ones you need to tackle. If you're helping a child study, stay nearby in case they need assistance. Once they are done, go over their answers giving encouragement and help if they didn’t grasp the instructions. It’s very important that you remain patient and positive! If homework takes longer than 30 minutes to complete, allow your child to take a 5-minute break to avoid overwhelm. After a few weeks, your child will be taking these steps before you even know.

We all know that stress is bad but how bad? Stressing out can affect our ability to learn and distort the details of an event or experience. It can also lead to feeling tired or exhausted. Fatigue makes it harder to pay attention and stay alert. Working under stressful conditions can have long-term negative effects on the mind if not addressed. In order to combat stress, there are several things you can do, including meditation, exercise, taking regular breaks, linking learning to physical actions, and seeking professional assistance.

Stop everything for 2 minutes; it’s time for a stretch break! Read this post and then follow the instructions if you want to show your body a little love! First, stand up and place your hands on your hips. Roll your shoulders up and back as you inhale. Then tilt your head back and exhale slowly. Repeat this 3 times. Next, keeping your hands on your hips or holding on to a chair for balance, gently bend at the hips until you feel a small stretch in your back and legs. Do not forget to keep breathing. After about 5 seconds, slowly straighten back to a standing position. Do this 3 times. Lastly, take a one-minute walk without looking at any mobile devices or screens. And that’s it! Stretch break complete. How do you feel?
