With winter coming to an end, I feel the joy and warmth of the sun.

Winter is going well, it has been cold and icy in the Ozarks. We seem to be making it through the darkest time of the year, day by day.

The grey bunny pictured is a queen around here. She was once a caged house rabbit. During her time caged she failed to care for her babies when she gave birth. Ultimately the babies died because they needed her milk, & we didn’t have any other caged nursing mother rabbits at the time. We did try to bottle feed them but it just wasn’t enough.

Fast forward 8 months later. I let this girl be free on the land. My free range rabbits have access to food/compost, natural foraging, shelter, & are generally very happy (they stay around too!) We see them daily 💚

Grey momma nested naturally in a tent with a hutch on the land. She has what looks like 7 or 8 healthy 2-3 week old baby rabbits. She is so free, taking care of her babies when they need her, and laying around the land day to day. I am so proud of her! This certainly was a sign that spring is coming, spring brings forth the light. New life. New experiences. A new journey. Life goes on. Let go of the old, invite in the new. Life is a waiting for you 🌸

Happy Autumn! Best time of the year 🧡 ⚡️💛
