Waiting in Presence by Connie L. Habash

So much of our lives are spent waiting. We wait in line for our lattes, for the subway train to come, for our dentist appointments, for a friend to meet us at a café, for a file to upload, or in traffic on the highway.

Have you ever looked around in those waiting places? Almost everyone pulls out their phone. As if that were more productive or meaningful than being Present.

Here are many precious opportunities in our lives to become fully conscious and alive in the present moment, and we dismiss them. What gets in the way? What are we afraid of by simply being there?

We discount many moments of our lives by unconsciously judging them as not worthy of giving our full attention (like a simple walk around town). They seem not important enough to be present with what we feel, what we sense around us, what we're experiencing in our body or feeling in our heart. Instead, we are lured by the attraction of constant entertainment and distraction.

We actually dismiss a part of ourselves and a part of our own lives by ignoring and dissociating from these moments where we are "waiting" for something to happen other than what is.

It is here, in this present moment, and no other, that we come alive, and that we awaken to our true nature. We have opportunities everywhere, all around us, everyday. Becoming fully present in the moment with ourselves and what is here in this moment is what connects us to the infinite presence of our Spirit, and the Divine in everything.

We may be waiting for a special moment or place to awaken, like on a mountaintop, or at a meditation retreat. When all along, life is giving us opportunities to realize our Divine nature right here where we are...

The next time you are waiting, you can choose to wait in Presence. 🙏🏽

Using hypnotherapy I enable people to make positive changes in their lives easily. I help people stop smoking, manage stress, lose weight, release fears, improve sports performance, have easier childbirths, create or break habits etc. Hypnotherapy can be used to improve just about any area of life. I offer sessions in person and over the phone. (It works just as well over the phone.)

I was originally trained by Smoke Free International, then by Scott McFall, and then graduated from Hypnosis Motivation Institute with a diploma in hypnotherapy. I have had extensive continuing education since. I am certified as a hypnotherapist through the International Certification Board of Clinical Hypnotherapists. I have had a hypnotherapy practice in northern California since 2006.
