Humboldt Adventures represents the collaboration of people passionate and knowledgeable about the therapeutic aspects of Humboldt County. We commit to fostering an atmosphere of personal growth by promoting new adventures exploring Humboldt county’s cultures. Our clients often overcome what seem like insurmountable fears and display high levels of camaraderie. Adventurous and challenging activities help clients move out of their comfort zone. A nurturing, non-competitive environment focuses on teamwork and team celebration. Our clients also report developing life skills such as goal setting, peer leadership, decision-making, and problem solving. Our adventures reveal diverse ecosystems from the pristine coastline to the Redwood forests. We believe in enjoying and preserving our pristine wilderness and coastline. Humboldt Adventures conducts thorough planning and preparation for activities to minimize our environmental impact. Adventurers are reminded to reduce the impact of campfires. We encourage clients and staff to use trails and camp on surfaces that further reduce our impact. Guides occasionally remind clients to resist the temptation to remove items from the areas we visit. Guides consistently promote a deep respect for wildlife. Proper waste disposal is a high priority on our tours. Many areas we visit are open to the public and we promote consideration toward those adventurers.
