⏰ With a January 30 funding deadline fast approaching, bipartisan leaders in Congress have released legislation that includes critical investments for Community Health Centers. This proposal would provide $4.6 billion in base funding, support the health care workforce, and extend telehealth flexibilities—helping health centers like Sunrise Community Health continue delivering high-quality, affordable care to the communities we serve.
Now is the time for Congress to act and provide funding certainty so Community Health Centers can meet patient needs, strengthen our workforce, and protect access to care.
🚨 Call Congress to Vote Yes on Increased CHC Funding by January 30 🚨
Lawmakers are racing toward the January 30 funding deadline, and Community Health Centers are fortunate that bipartisan leaders have listened to our calls for action. Earlier today, congressional leaders released bipartisan legislation that includes critical investments to support Community Health Centers and the 52 million patients who rely on them for care. NACHC appreciates the work of bipartisan Congressional leaders to reach this important legislation and urges passage as soon as possible.
The proposal includes:
✔️ $4.6 billion in base funding for Community Health Centers in FY 2026
✔️ $350 million for the National Health Service Corps and $225 million for Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education, with future increases planned
✔️ An extension of telehealth flexibilities through 2027
Now, Congress must act, and the time is now to remind them how critical this funding will be for health centers and their patients. Community Health Centers need funding certainty to continue delivering high-quality, affordable care, address workforce shortages, and ensure access for patients nationwide.
