Dear families,

As a winter weather event brings snow and icy conditions to our area, I want to take a moment to reassure you that the safety and well-being of your loved ones remain our highest priorities.
Our community has comprehensive plans in place to address severe winter weather, and our team is actively taking precautions to maintain a safe and secure environment. These measures include closely monitoring weather conditions, treating walkways and entrances to prevent slips and falls, maintaining proper heating throughout the building, and emergency supplies should conditions worsen. We have a large generator that is fully fueled if power does go out. This generator will run our kitchen and common areas. Camellia Walk also has gas fireplaces throughout the community to keep areas warm.

We also take steps to provide adequate staffing during inclement weather so that residents continue to receive attentive, consistent care without interruption. Our team members are prepared to remain on-site if needed, and contingency plans are in place to support operations during challenging conditions.

For the safety of residents, we may adjust activities or limit non-essential outings during periods of snow and ice. These decisions are made thoughtfully and always with residents’ well-being in mind. Families will be notified if weather conditions impact visitation or community operations.

Please know that your loved ones are being cared for by a dedicated team that is committed to their comfort, safety, and peace of mind—no matter the weather. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out to our leadership team at any time. Thank you for your continued trust in our community. It is our privilege to care for your family members, and we remain vigilant in keeping them safe throughout the winter season.

Thymeless is a garden-to-table snack program that embodies how our community enriches the lives of our residents. This program involves our residents in planting, growing, and harvesting fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs from small gardens located within our community. After the harvest, our residents take part in making healthy, homegrown snacks they get to enjoy and share! 🥕🪴🍴
