Please help us celebrate Mildred Sims, Receptionist, our Employee of the Year!

Mildred has been with us since 1998, consistently caring for our consumers with patience, respect, and heart. She supports medications, encourages participation in activities, and never hesitates to help wherever she’s needed.

Her dedication goes beyond the workplace. Mildred takes a long, late-night commute without complaint, stays when help is needed, and balances her work with caring for her daughter with incredible strength and grace.

She often uses her own money to bring small gifts to consumers or treat coworkers, and she has a special ability to comfort even the most challenging individuals, making everyone feel safe and seen.

Mildred is more than an employee. She is the heart of Greenwood Care, and we are honored to recognize her as Employee of the Year. 💙

This past weekend, our SMHRF network came together for the NAMI Chicago Walk. A morning dedicated to raising awareness, showing support, and walking side by side for mental health.

We’re proud to have joined hundreds of others in this incredible movement, because we believe that supporting mental health means supporting our entire community.

👏 Congratulations to the Chicago NAMI chapter for raising nearly $200,000 to continue providing hope, resources, and advocacy for all.
