There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing thoughtful progress in the people I work with. Individualized care, careful listening, and taking the time to truly understand what your body needs makes all the difference.

"I had the fortunate experience of being treated by Kathy Breving for back pain. She was recommended by a doctor & she was great. Previously I had gone to two other PTs in the city, but the pain was not mitigated. With Kathy’s careful listening & keen analysis after a few sessions, the pain began to diminish & soon it left altogether. It's such a relief to not have the pain. I’ve gone on trips, sat on planes & walked around cities & I do fine. Her astute understanding of the body's mechanics and experience has given me great relief. She’s a natural problem solver and approaches therapy with patience, curiosity & tenacity. She gets it solved." — Maureen, Evanston, IL

Let’s talk bladder habits for a moment.

Your bladder works best with balance. Try to empty it every 2–4 hours during the day. Avoid going “just in case” out of habit, but also don’t ignore it all day either.

There are a few exceptions, of course. It’s perfectly reasonable to empty your bladder before travel (like a train or airplane), and it’s recommended before and after s*x.

Small daily habits can make a big difference in reducing urgency, frequency, and irritation. If bladder symptoms are interfering with your day, you don’t have to manage it alone.

Pelvic PT Pro Tip: If you are feeling a little backed up from the holiday cheese boards and indulgences, a Squatty Potty is one of the simplest ways to help increase output. By elevating the knees above the hips, it opens your deeper pelvic floor muscles and allows more stool to pass. (As an affiliate I earn a small comission at no cost to you)

The bamboo flip helps align the colon for better elimination. To simulate a squatting position, all you have to do is take a seat, put your feet on the toilet stool, and get comfortable. Prefer the 7" Height, but someone else in the home requires the 9" Height? This Squatty Potty adjusts between ...
