Let's normalize not clamping and cutting the cord to go take baby to a warmer.

You can give your baby a breath
You can suck out the gunk from their nose and mouth
You can talk to them
You can run their hands/feet to stimulate them.

It is so important to keep that cord pulsing and give your baby all that blood!
It is so important to have that skin to skin.
It is so important to have birth workers who are on your team and allow you to participate in your care.

Let's talk about prenatal supplements!

Yes quality does matter!!! Having a high quality prenatal not only supports proper fetal development; they can also make a huge difference on how your body feels throughout your pregnancy.

Getting all your vitamins, minerals, and iron needs met will result in your body functioning more optimally and offer the support it needs to grow your baby! Avoid synthetic supplements!. Make sure the daily recommended amount of each item listed for pregnancy are being met! Many are giving you low insufficient amounts of minerals/vitamins.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ CLIENT REVIEW

This has been a most challenging review to compose because Hope is much more than exceptional in what she does. She supported us throughout the pregnancy of our fourth child, provided us with the resources that allowed us the freedom to make informed choices about the health of our baby, and was a calm confident supporter. She traveled to rural Wyoming to help us bring our son into the world. I couldn't imagine having done it without her. So much support, positivity, and knowledge, and best of all, having her present at birth as a friend.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ CLIENT REVIEW

This was my first experience with a home birth and midwife after having three kids in the hospital with a doctor.
This has hands down been the easiest pregnancy and birth. Hope has been amazing from the get-go, having a food diary to help me make small changes to my diet and add extra vitamins so the pregnancy went smoother than my previous.
She was so educational at every appointment answering questions and giving resources for everything Pregnancy, labor, and beyond.

The actual birthing experience was wonderful! She was so calm and thoughtful the whole time and let my daughter help her with some things. I went from having 3rd degree tears in my hospital births to almost nothing and no stitches.
Hope is truly wonderful! I went from having an ok experience with previous births, to having a wonderful birth!

Can you believe that women grow a whole organ during pregnancy?! It is absolutely amazing, and doesn't get enough credit for all the important things it does. I'll definitely be sharing more information on placentas another post.
