March is National Kidney Month, a time to raise awareness about the importance of kidney health and the role early detection plays in lifelong well-being. Your kidneys work behind the scenes to filter waste, regulate fluid balance, and support heart health, so understanding your risk and taking action early can have a lasting impact on overall health.

Simple steps like regular checkups, monitoring blood pressure and blood sugar, staying active, and making heart-healthy nutritional choices can support kidney function and help identify concerns before they become serious. If you have questions about your risk, talk with your healthcare provider about appropriate screening and preventive care.

Did you know that someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds? A single blood donation can help save up to three lives, supporting patients who rely on transfusions for surgeries, cancer treatment, trauma care, and chronic illnesses.

January is National Blood Donor Month, a time to recognize the generosity of blood donors and raise awareness about the ongoing need for donations, especially during the winter months when supplies often decline. By donating blood, individuals help ensure hospitals have the lifesaving resources needed to care for patients and families when it matters most.

Thank you to all who give the gift of life and make a lasting impact in their communities.
