~Closely Watching Thanksgiving Weekend~

I understand that next week is one of the busiest travel weeks of the year, and people need to be prepared ahead of time for the weather conditions. We know a big pattern change will take place later next week (closing in on next weekend). However, there is considerable uncertainty about how a system may evolve. Big pattern changes, especially when the MJO (Madden Julian Oscillation) shifts into phases 7, 8, and 1 this time of year, almost always bring a large system. Ensemble data continues to show this with the upper-air pattern very favorable for a large system, November 29th through December 2. The red-circled area has the highest potential and has for almost a week now, but please stay tuned for updates and not focus on the guidance that shows a foot of snow in one model run.
