Hello all!

Now that I have had my baby I wanted to hop on here because it’s been a hot minute since I have! I am still a doula but am going to take a few more months before taking clients to soak in this newborn phase! But, be on the lookout for some future posts on here because I have some fun things in the works 😊

With news of my pregnancy finally out I wanted to take some time and update you all!

I will be taking new clients up until June and then I will be going on a break until baby is here. So if you know of a momma due in May or June send them my way! I would love to be a part of their support team.

A newborn baby is supposed to feed 8-12 times in 24 hours. Most people assume that means baby will eat every 2-3 hrs. This is often not the case! Most babies won’t have a nice evenly spaced out feeding schedule. Some feeds might be 30 min apart, an hour, or 3 hours apart. If your baby feeds close together that doesn’t mean anything is wrong!

Doulas do not take the place of the father. They can never fill the vital role that a father plays in the birth of their child. Some people might worry that if they hire a doula that they will take the place of their main support person and that is not the case! Instead, a doula is an asset to the mother and father team. A doula can resure both parents and make their lives just a little bit easier in the labor process.
