Tri-State Friends, share this on your socials and directly with people you know who could use a hand making Thanksgiving a little easier and a little more substantial. This is still part of our SNAP Response efforts to make sure those who got behind and encountered cascading hardships have some food-based restitution going into the holidays.

People sometimes message us for the criteria to come to a distribution like this at Bosse. If you need food, come see us tomorrow morning. If you can't come to Bosse Field, look for a pantry near you on our site www.tristatefoodbank.com - we exist to make sure you can feed your family. In our 33 counties, about 140,000 struggle with food insecurity and just under 100,000 receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance. That 40,000 difference are families who work hard, make just over the threshold for SNAP, and arguably need even more help for that reason. You are welcome to join us - it is our privilege to serve you.

Keep December 12 on your calendar as well for two simultaneous holiday give-away Mobile Food Distributions to be announced soon, and we'll also be providing the final results and distribution pathways for our 10th Annual WIKY 104.1-FM Ton of Turkeys campaign. What do you think--did we hit our goal of 1,000 turkeys for our neighbors? I mean, that would be crazy, right? What started as trying to raise 1 ton of turkeys, 10 years later raising 10 tons? No way that could happen!

Skate with the Bolts is coming BACK to Owensboro on Sunday, December 7 from 2:00-3:30 at the Edge Ice Center!🥳

Doors to the event open at 12:30 with the skate session being from 1:00-3:30! The cost of admission is $7 which includes your skate rental!

Hockey’s best tradition is coming back the Ford Center on Friday, December 5 with Teddy Bear Toss Night!🧸

Bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear to throw on the ice after the THUNDERBOLTS FIRST GOAL! Can’t make it to the game? Visit Town & Country Ford to drop off your bears!

All the bears collected in the toss will be donated throughout the community!

We can’t wait to see everyone at our 2nd Annual Pancakes with Santa! This year we’re proud to partner with Head Start to bring the community a warm pancake breakfast and a chance for kids to visit and get pictures with Santa. We’ll also be handing out toys and goodies to children who stop by to see Santa, while supplies last. Plus, several community partners will be offering fun crafts and games. Join us on December 20th at the Crawford County Fairgrounds from 8am–10am for a morning of holiday fun!
