A reminder: healthy eating doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated.

Tonight’s dinner: Spaghetti with meat sauce for under $20 (Walmart pricing in my area).

By starting with no-salt-added tomato sauce and seasoning it yourself, you can skip the extra sodium, added sugars, and fillers that are common in jarred sauces. Pairing it with lean ground turkey or 93/7 ground beef adds protein and staying power.
Add a sprinkle of mozzarella or parmesan and dinner is done. And we all know a little bit of pasta goes a long way!

Balanced, affordable, and delicious.

Feed Evansville will open up a
Free SNAP Grocery Store.
Newsome Center Community Kitchen
11am-2pm

This store is for households that are currently enrolled in the SNAP program or federal employees that have been furloughed . The groceries are free and no benefits will come off your card now or in the future.
Please park on the left hand side of the CK Newsome Building and walk to the kitchen door near the Feed Evansville Truck.

Store will have fresh Diary , meat , produce and dry goods.

Guest will need the following
1) EBT Card or a Federal Employee ID
2) ID
