💙At the heart of the work to address the Opioid Epidemic are people who are deeply passionate about improving lives.
During the Evansville Opioid Symposium, healthcare providers, researchers, and educators came together to share poster presentations highlighting evidence-based, nonpharmacological approaches to addressing opioid use and supporting trajectory of lives.
We were proud to feature posters from Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists from Forefront Therapy, as well as students and faculty from the University of Southern Indiana Kinney College of Nursing and the University of Evansville Dunigan Family School of Nursing. Their work showcased innovative research and practical strategies that healthcare professionals can use to support individuals and families affected by the opioid crisis.
What stood out most was the dedication behind the work—professionals and students committed to finding better ways to care for people, strengthen outcomes, and support healthier communities.
Events like this remind us how powerful collaboration between clinicians, educators, and community partners can be when the shared goal is improving people’s lives through whole-person, evidence-based care.
Forefront is grateful to everyone who contributed their knowledge, research, and passion to this important conversation. Together, we can continue moving evidence-based care forward in our community.
