🦃As we reflect on this Thanksgiving, we are so thankful for you. We appreciate your trust in us, your patience through our move, your work in therapy, your persistence and resilience.

🙏🏽We know the holiday season can be full of challenges, so take care of your mental health by remembering to give yourself what you need to feel your best. It is okay to say no. Try to set realistic expectations for yourself and watch for emotional or social overload.

🤔Did you know that Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidenced based therapy model that helps with anxiety, trauma, grief, depression and other mental health issues.

🧐The method uses bilateral stimulation with tapping, eye movements, pulsing and/or lights. This method can be very successful for people struggling with many issues.

😊Within Sight has four therapists certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Margaret Svec, Blake Steagall, Julie Bellamy & Caron Leader.

Certification means our clinicians have taken the basic training and done two more years of consultation and practice to hone their skills.

😢We share sad news that our Freyja died recently. We are all mourning her and miss her terribly.

💙But we are so grateful to have had her in our life and know our grief is an indication of how much we loved her. You are always in our hearts, Freyja!

Welcome Viktoria McQueeney, LMHCa to our clinical team! Viktoria hails from the Midwest with early years in Wisconsin then college in Ohio and settling in Indiana. She also has family ties in Germany spending lots of time there giving her fluency in German.

With a background in community-based mental health services, Viktoria has worked with children, adolescents and adults in intensive outpatients (IOP) and individual programs.

Viktoria currently treats children starting at age 7, adolescents, and adults in individual sessions. Her specialties are mood disorders, trauma, and interpersonal conflicts. She enjoys utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) in her work.

☺️Kathreena “Khat” Suarez, Administrator Coordinator, lives in Manila, Philippines, where she was born and raised. During the pandemic, she began work as a virtual assistant for My Mountain Mover, which is a virtual assistant outsourcing company. We are very grateful to My Mountain Mover for sending Khat our way and now she is a valued member of team!

🤔Khat's attention to detail, hard work ethic and incredible customer service skills fit right in with our mission to provide quality service. Khat's focus is on billing but she helps clients with scheduling when needed.
