Assisted Lifestyles, Covid 19 Response.
With all the suspicion, speculation, conspiracy theory, and actual information about Covid 19, here’s what we’re doing at Assisted Lifestyles to insure the health of our patients.
In addition to CDC recommendations and social-distancing guidelines, an article by The University of Arizona of integrative medicine offered naturopathic risk reduction strategies, to inspire one’s immune system regarding Covid 19. You can access the information in their report below.

Here’s how we’re responding to help our patients.
First, anything we do must be an over the counter concept or natural remedy, as we have no pharmaceutical authority. Excellent nutrition becomes paramount. Our food stock is as free of preservatives as we can reasonably find, purchase and store. Fresh fruits, vegetables, less preservatives, sodium, MSG, high fructose corn syrups and the like means our stock is healthier overall. Meat cuts are select, usually naturally grown, professionally packaged, and local when possible.
Second, Covid 19 seems to prey upon those with a compromised immune system, those with COPD, other respiratory issues and diabetics. Considering the report above and CDC information and guidelines, as is customary for us we look for ways to ramp up nutritional needs patients may have, especially those who’ve exhibited poor eating or dietary habits. Over our 29 year history this has helped many patients dramatically reduce, or get rid of their diabetic medication altogether, as well as overlapping prescriptions. Many doctors struggle to treat their patients because patients do not accurately communicate their symptoms, eating habits or lifestyle practices. There are various reasons for that. With doctor acknowledgement, we ramp up nutritional needs by supplementing a diet with low sugar, nutritious shakes. This hugely benefits our patients, especially during flu-season.
Third, all care is between patient, guardian (as needed), doctor and the care provider employing a specific modality.
Fourth, Americans primarily consider healthcare to begin and end with the body only. However, complete healthcare involves the body, the soul, and the spirit of an individual. Continuous personal study of each helps complete our longterm healthcare offering. Since most patients come with preexisting health problems, we work tirelessly to help them recover as much of themselves as possible, while contending against time and effects of natural aging. Traditionally, our patients adjust to our environment better, rarely ever get physically sick, and some recover well enough to move back home.
