🎉 Congratulations to our winners of the Easter Egg Hunt Ride to School in the ambulance! 🚑

We had so many entrants, we decided to do 2 days of rides!!

Winners were chosen by random draw with EMS staff and Mayor Roen.

We were 🐣 “Eggstatic” 🐣 over the response to our first annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Eveleth Community Center today! We never dreamed of having the turnout we had; we stopped counting when we hit 400 people only 40 minutes into the event. In all, about 750 community members showed up in full force, all decked out in spring colors 🌸🌼🌺, bunny ears, and goofy glasses 🤓.

Even though we ran short on supplies 😢, we loved seeing people chatting with their neighbors, kids running around with new found friends, and a community happy to just be together.

An 🎉ENORMOUS🎉 thank you to Eveleth Elks Lodge #1161 for their donation towards this event, to Eveleth’s own Pop Goes the Cookie for donating 100 cake pops, to the sweetest girls ~ Miss Eveleth and the Miss Eveleth first runner-up ~ for their presence, smiles and hard work, and to our staff on Eveleth EMS and those hard-working peeps at the Eveleth Community Center for graciously volunteering their time!

Lastly, a huge thank you to all of the kids and adults who showed us kindness and grace as we scrambled to keep up with hiding more (and More and MORE!) eggs, and tried our hardest to make sure every kid went home with at least some new crayons, a coloring book, an EMS bracelet, or some type of goody. Most importantly, we hope everyone went home with a smile and some warmth in their hearts knowing we belong to a community that truly cares for one another. 🥰

We look forward to holding another Easter Egg Hunt next year with even more fun surprises and a LOT more candy! 🍬🍭🍪

Wow, what a turnout!

Our area kids have been blessed once again by the generosity of our communities, businesses and civic organizations during our annual Stuff the Ambulance event for the Salvation Army.

Special thanks to the Eveleth Elks Lodge #1161 for their outstanding donations and involvement each year, and to Miss Eveleth Lauren Harju for being a shining example of what our city is all about… integrity, kindness and a whole lot of heart.

A special shoutout to Santa and the Grinch (and to Raini Knaeble and Kevin Peterson) for making the evening so much fun, and as always Cook’s Country Connection for bringing their farm animals for all to enjoy! And a huge thanks to Michele Woods at The Rink for donating cheeseburger baskets once again this year to all of our staff working this event!

On behalf of all involved to help make this season a little brighter for many children and families…

It’s going to be a beautiful winter day with temps in the 20’s, hot chocolate, Cook’s Country Connection farm animals, pictures with Santa and the Grinch, and all sorts of fun as we Stuff the Ambulance with toys for our area kids! We hope to see you there! Event goes from 3-6.
