When the world gets loud, anchoring ourselves and finding moments of calm becomes even more essential. We’d love to share space with you!

Nikki Dvorak Larsen, one of our clinic supervisors and a graduate of MWAI, is offering an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) series this spring.

MBSR is the most well-researched mindfulness program out there. It began over 50 years ago at the University of Massachusetts and is still taught there today. People often turn to MBSR for support with stress, anxiety, chronic pain, sleep, ADHD, mood, and overall wellbeing.

The series runs Mondays from February 16 through April 6, 2026, meeting from 3:00–5:30 PM at MWAI.

All are welcome, and no prior mindfulness experience is needed. Whether you’re brand new or returning to practice, this is a supportive, approachable way to build skills while fostering connection and community.

I did 3 things this week I never would’ve imagined…

1. I am wrapping up guiding my first 5 day Silent Meditation Retreat.
2. I bought my first pair of crocs in anticipation of retreat (Part 2 of 2) and I love them
3. I’m spending my birthday today in silence in a room of people who have zero idea it’s my birthday and there’s not really anywhere else I’d rather be (if only my hubs was at retreat with me, it would be really perfect!).

So, to celebrate, I’m sharing some of my favorite things I’ve come across while I wandered the grounds this week. Enjoy! And spend some contemplative time with yourself. It’s magic ♥️

It may go against our wiring, but it’s truly how meaningful connection works. Ready to slow down, take some intentional time, and get to know yourself better? Because you’re worth it!

We’ve got classes starting on January 28th in Snohomish, WA and February 16th in Mt Vernon, WA (both also available as hybrid if online is better for you!) as well as a 100% online class starting Sundays in March. Come experience how giving yourself 2.5 hours a week will ripple outwards and shift the rest of your days!
