📣 Celebrating Black History Month 🙌🏾
This month, we honor trailblazers who make history every day. Today we spotlight Dr. Silas Norman, a pioneering transplant nephrologist whose work has transformed the lives of people living with kidney disease. 👨🏾⚕️❤️🩹
Dr. Norman, born and raised in Detroit, has dedicated his career to advancing kidney transplant care, expanding access to underserved communities, and promoting health equity across the U.S. He’s played a key role in making transplant opportunities more accessible — from creating programs for HIV-positive patients to building outreach clinics that serve patients who need them most. 🌍✨
As a longtime leader with the American Kidney Fund and a champion for equitable care, Dr. Norman reminds us why representation and culturally aware care matter — especially for communities disproportionately affected by kidney disease. 👏🏾👩🏾⚕️👨🏽⚕️
This Black History Month, we celebrate his commitment to compassion, access, and impact. Let’s honor the legacy of leaders like Dr. Norman — whose work inspires patients and providers alike. 🖤
