This Lung Cancer Awareness Month, put your health first. Lung cancer is the second most common cancer and the leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. But only 6% of people in the U.S. who are at high risk and eligible for lung cancer screenings are currently getting checked.

Getting screened and practicing healthy habits can make a big difference for you and your loved ones. To learn more about lung cancer screenings, visit https://www.wwmedgroup.com/blog/should-you-get-screened-for-lung-cancer.

This weekend, rediscover the joy of learning and give your body a gentle workout by visiting a museum. A trip to a place like the Museum of Flight (or any fascinating museum) is a wonderful way to engage your mind, get your steps in, and enrich both your mental and physical well-being.

Provider Spotlight: Michael Chen, DO, MBA @ WWMG Cardiology

WWMG is pleased to welcome Michael Chen, DO to our cardiology department. Dr. Chen is a dedicated Cardiologist whose passion for heart health is both professional and deeply personal. Growing up in a family affected by heart disease, Dr. Chen was inspired to pursue a specialty where he could make a meaningful difference. “The heart is not only a fascinating organ, but it’s also at the center of our well-being. My family’s experience taught me that heart disease can touch anyone, and prevention is truly key,” he shares.

Dr. Chen enjoys working with patients at all stages of their cardiac journey, from prevention to advanced interventions, always striving to empower them with knowledge and support. He is committed to working in partnership with his patients to develop a care plan that fits their lives. Fluent in Mandarin, he welcomes patients from diverse backgrounds and aims to make every patient feel at ease, understood, and confident in their heart health journey.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Chen finds balance and joy in golfing, skiing, camping, hiking, and reading. He cherishes time spent with his wife and their two pets, believing that a well-rounded life enhances his ability to connect with patients on a personal level.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Michael Chen to WWMG!
