To improve your sleep quality, limit screen time before bed. The blue light emitted from devices can disrupt your natural sleep cycle, making it harder to fall and stay asleep. Unplugging helps the body and brain prepare for deeper, more restorative rest.

To learn more about how blue light impacts sleep, read this article from Harvard Health: https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/blue-light-has-a-dark-side.

Provider Spotlight: Kristian Dela Cruz, DNP, ARNP @ WWMG Gastroenterology

Please help us welcome Kristian Dela Cruz to WWMG Gastroenterology. Kristian is a doctorate-level Nurse Practitioner who believes the foundation of great care is a collaborative relationship where every patient feels truly heard and supported.

For Kristian, medicine is about more than just treating symptoms; it’s about understanding the "brain-gut connection" and the vital role the gastrointestinal system plays in overall systemic and mental well-being. She is passionate about a holistic approach that combines evidence-based treatments with the tools and knowledge patients need to maintain autonomy over their own health.

Deeply influenced by her mother’s career as a CNA and her own family’s experiences navigating the healthcare system, Kristian is on a mission to ensure that health literacy and language are never barriers to quality care. She is fluent in English and is learning Tagalog.

When not in the clinic, Kristian stays active and enjoys the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. You can often find her hiking through local trails, working out at the gym, or losing herself in a good book while spending quality time with her fiancé and their 8-year-old cat, Princess Leia.

We are pleased to have Kristian’s empowering and culturally sensitive approach to care on our Gastroenterology team!
