Did you know?

There’s an underwater post office in the South Pacific.

Situated off the coast of Hideaway Island Resort and Marine Sanctuary is the Vanuatu Post, the world’s only under-the-sea post office. Vacationers who want to send a waterproof postcard home can snorkel or scuba dive 10 feet below the ocean’s surface. A special flag is raised above the water to indicate when postal workers are in the water.

Our Dearest Readers........

Kaelie is now hosting a reading every Wednesday at 3:30pm. Each month she will pick a book to read from with short stories and read out lout to the residents.

This allows all residents to participate and engage in a social setting to have meaningful conversations about what was read, laugh, joke and maybe share some of their own stories.

It is celebrated annually on February 27 to encourage nostalgia and celebrate the fashions, music, and trends of past decades. Founded in 2018, this day promotes disconnecting from modern technology to enjoy simpler, face-to-face, or "pre-internet" style activities!! So put down the technology....... take a bike ride, a walk, play a game of cards with your family and enjoy each other.

We love our Community!

We are often asked what type of apartments we have here for Assisted Living. We have spacious studios and 1 bedrooms. We also have beautiful Cottages for Independent living. Although we are accepting waitlist right now, things change quickly.

You’ll want your bass-heavy headphones for this one. Sensors on the NASA InSight lander on Mars picked up the first recorded sounds of Martian wind through vibrations. The wind can be heard at a decibel within human range with the help of headphones.
