"People think they know you. They think they know how you're handling a situation. But the truth is, no one knows. No one knows what happens after you leave them, when you're lying in bed or sitting over your breakfast alone and all you want to do is cry or scream. They don't know what's going on inside your head—the mind-numbing cocktail of anger and sadness and guilt. This isn't their fault. They just don't know. And so they pretend, and they say you're doing great when you're really not. And this makes everyone feel better. Everybody but you." - William H. Woodwell Jr.

FINE = "Feelings Inside Not Expressed." When a loved one is grieving, they might say everything is fine, but please take the extra effort to help them anyway. "Fine" is often far from it.

Ever encountered a funeral procession while driving? What's the right way of handling the situation? Is it necessary to pull over?

While the laws vary from state to state, one should always pull over for a funeral procession out of politeness to the grieving family.

Some other good rules to keep in mind out of respect for the deceased and the family:
* Don't cut into a procession or cut them off
* Don't honk at the vehicles in the procession
* Yield the right of way until the entire procession is through the intersection
* On the highway, don't pass the procession on the right

In general, be patient and considerate, and keep in mind that the folks in the procession are likely going going through a very difficult time.
