Cat's Amazing Cat's Amazing is a foster based cat rescue. We have cats and kittens at the Princeton Petsmart, 111 Nassau Park Blvd.

Visit during store hours or Sat & Sun 12-5pm when volunteers are onsite.

Update: 1/24. We were able to pick up Aurora from VEG yesterday morning and she's currently convalescing in my spare bathroom. So far so good, she is eating, seems comfortable and very friendly.
She'll be on antibiotics for a few weeks and hopefully ready for adoption! Thank you to all who prayed for her and sent donations... none of this would be possible without your support. While we did raise a nice amount of money for her bill we still have almost 3k outstanding which the agreed to let us pay over the next 30 days. Please

Attention!!! Get a Blizzard Buddy today at the Princeton Petsmart! Due to the weather our formal adoption day is cancelled but we will be there today from 1pm-4pm as we have two beautiful cats that would love to be warm and snuggled in a home! Sunday we will not be doing adoptions. Lourdes is a beautiful & sweet fluffer about 1.5 years old. Colin from Accounts is a lovely boy who smartly got himself rescued off the streets of Newark, he’s about a year old! They are both awesome cats!

And we end Friday with a sad update. Our sweet senior boy, Buddy (Timmy to his mama June) peacefully passed away tonight in the home he‘s known since June. Buddy came to us last May when his owner passed away and Buddy was pretty much abandoned for months in his home with someone dropping food a few days a week. When we finally got him he was so skinny and needed dental work. With some TLC he fattened right up and just until recently was living his best life. Buddy declined quickly likely due to cancer and we had estimated his age at about 15-16, although we were told he was 11-12 but our vet disagreed. Well regardless we are extremely sad to have lost such a sweet soul but gladdened to know he died well, with dignity and completely loved. Thank you to our friend June for opening her heart & home to an unwanted senior cat and giving him a wonderful last chapter. We love you Buddy.

We‘ve spent this whole week focused on tough situations like sweet Aurora, our missing Kasper (who has thankfully made it home) and now we learned one of sweet senior senior boys has a cancer and likely won’t be with us too much longer…our hearts are heavy and our pockets light! That all said, here is a happy update. You may remember Babs the cat returned to us after months in an adoptive home, she was on the brink of being killed by her so-called family over her extreme “aggression!”….since she’s been back with us and in a loving, caring and not insane foster home…she is just blossoming. The cute, sweet Babs we adopted out nearly a year ago is finally finding herself. Sadly we can’t undo what was done but we’ve spent months and her foster mom has given her so much love to turn it around! Babs is truly ready for a loving, stable home! No small children or other pets. Babs needs a quiet, calm home with people who will respect her space and understand she’ll need time to adjust at her pace but she will get there! We think she’d make a great blizzard buddy! Text 732.850.0779! She is available as a foster to adopt to ensure the fit is right all around!

We are begging!!! Update as of 01/21 at 11am. Aurora is a fighter. Her drains are lessening output and the fluid is becoming clearer, less cloudy/bloody which vet says is good.
Plan right now is taper oxygen support and if drains continue to have very little output to remove. We are hoping we can get her out of there tomorrow as long as she is breathing on her own and drains can be removed...but it is ridiculously costly to keep her at ER but she's not yet stable enough to move...please continue to share and donate....if everyone circulates even the smallest donation is impactful. And if you cant share or donate, please pray for her..vet said her little quirky personality is starting to show! We don't for one minute regret pursuing intervention for her...! just wish these vet costs were more reasonable.!! Thank you!!! A gofund me is set up in addition to the fundraising links from North Jersey Kitty Committee. Donations can go to either place, all will be directed to Aurora’s bill!

Finally a bit of good news! Kasper aka Leo is home, warm & safe! His family never gave up were out in the cold looking constantly and monitoring trap! We are so relieved he is home. It’s been a week and it’s only Tuesday. Aurora still needs prayers and donations!

We started off the day with one our recently adopted cats going missing and ended the day taking on a huge emergency case. Aurora is at VEG in Princeton with a chest full of pus. This sweet cat was struggling to breathe, suffering the whole time drowning in her own fluids. Fortunately she’s getting the care she needs, unfortunately it ain’t cheap. We had to pay 3800.00 tonight just to get things started. Thankfully our great partners at North Jersey Kitty Committee stepped in to partner with us yet again, because these cases are often bigger than one rescues resources. That said, please if you can make a donation and share. This cat is only about 1.5 years old and deserves a chance. Please help us help her!

It was a slow day down at the Princeton Petsmart this afternoon with all the snow and messiness…however we are so glad that we made the trek into the store to try to get some babies out of cages and into homes…today We said goodbye after a very brief stay with us to 13yo Slinky. Slinky’s mom died a few weeks ago and once again a senior cat found themselves homeless as no family members “could“ step up…same old story! But luckily for Slinky one of our amazing adopters popped in today and saw her, heard her story and decided she couldn’t leave her behind. Slinky is now is a foster to adopt as we are not quite sure how she’ll be in a multi cat household but we get the impression this happy go lucky, resilient and incredibly friendly cat will fit right in! Yay Slinkey…here’s to new beginnings! ❤️
