We had another fantastic history talk yesterday with John Grabko — and as always, he had everyone completely engaged. This time, he brought history to life with a presentation on Abraham Lincoln.

Our residents truly look forward to his visits, and he never disappoints. Already looking forward to next month!

Isn’t it fun to receive a card in the mail?! 💕 We’ve been anxiously checking the mailbox every day, waiting for Valentine’s cheer!

Our community joined the Hearts Across America trend, where senior living communities are exchanging Valentine’s cards to foster connection and share messages of love and friendship. And then we thought… why stop with the US? 🌍💖 So we expanded ours to Hearts Across the World!

So far, we’ve received over 85 Valentines and sent cards in return. Most cards are from senior living communities, but we’ve also been delighted to receive cards from friends and relatives of our residents. They’ve arrived from across the U.S. and as far away as Canada, Scotland, Sweden, Africa, Hong Kong, and Australia!

Our Petals neighborhood created some beautiful handmade cards, and many of our residents wrote heartfelt messages—often sharing fun facts about themselves or our town.

This exchange has truly filled our days with joy, connection, and lots of love. 💌✨

🌵 Our Singing Cowboy Social was a rootin’-tootin’ good time!

Residents donned their best Western wear—plaid shirts, cowboy hats, bandanas, and big smiles—while enjoying live cowboy classics performed by Todd Anderson, featuring songs made famous by Gene Autry and Roy Rogers.

With a photo booth, cowboy-inspired refreshments, and plenty of great company, it was a perfect day on the range. Scroll through the photos to see all the fun! 📸🐎

Today our community went full Western as Todd Anderson brought the spirit of Gene Autry and Roy Rogers to life with a special performance of “Home on the Range.” Residents kicked back, sang along, and enjoyed a little cowboy nostalgia together.

🐾Thank you to Larry Wade for a fascinating presentation on Animal Tracking! 🐾

Our residents learned about the four tracking patterns—walkers, bounders, waddlers, and hoppers—and even got hands-on creating prints from animals like deer, rabbit, fox, and more. Such a fun and educational experience connecting us to the natural world!
