Scenes from our Annual Meeting of the Residents. This meeting provided residents with the opportunity to hear directly from leadership, including CEO Justine Vogel. We also had the opportunity to recognize outgoing Resident Council and Resident Finance Committee members and welcome in new representatives.

A special moment included Executive Director Julie Clark honoring outgoing Resident Council Chair, Dennis, with the “gift of time,” our way of saying thank you for his leadership and dedication. As Dennis passes the torch to our new Resident Council Chair, Anne, we look forward to another year of collaboration and shared purpose.

During election cycles, the resident-run Voter Information Committee invites candidates from across the political spectrum into our community to share their perspectives and answer questions in a respectful, nonpartisan setting.

Retirement doesn’t mean tuning out of the issues shaping our country. In fact, many older adults bring decades of experience, perspective, and curiosity to the conversation, making these resident-led discussions especially insightful.

We're proud to share the skilled nursing unit in Suncook Lodge has maintained the prestigious 5-Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Achieving and maintaining a 5-Star designation requires excellent state inspection results, strong staffing ratios, and high-quality clinical outcomes. Earning this rating is no easy task. It takes an extraordinary team and we're proud to have one at RiverWoods!
