The Benefits of Self-Pay
Self-pay visits offer more cost transparent, predictable pricing. A self-pay visit can be more affordable than an out-of-network insurance visit once you factor in out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, or co-pays.
The patient has more flexibility in scheduling and treatment choices. Insurance companies may restrict which treatments are covered, limit visits with a required authorization, while a self-pay option removes those restrictions.
The Value of Quality Care
Out-of-Network insurance doesn't mean low quality care. We do provide high-quality, personalized, one on one care that you might not get with an in-network provider. This practice focuses on a better patient experience.
When working with insurance companies, there’s often a “middleman” involved. With self-pay, the patient deals directly with our office, which can result in faster, more efficient service.
Common Misconceptions
If patients have PPO or out-of-network coverage, you may be able to submit claims to insurance for reimbursement and recoup some of your costs.
Patients can use their Health Savings Accounts (HSA) / Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) funds to pay for the visit, which can be a tax-saving advantage.
We acknowledge that dealing with insurance can be frustrating. We understand your concerns and want to offer a solution that works for you. A self-pay visit can be an easier, less stressful choice.
