Making a homeopathic remedy stock bottle.

If you have a remedy you use often or would like to make your remedies last longer, making a shelf stable dropper bottle is the way to go. Here are the basic directions-

-To a 1 oz Amber glass dropper bottle, add 1/3 unflavored vodka, add filtered, spring or distilled water to the shoulders of the bottle (leaving space for mixing at the top), add 1 dose worth of pellets. Label the bottle with the remedy name and potency. General directions for dosing- bang the bottle 5 times before each dose (called succussions), add 5 drops to a little water and drink. Recap the dropper tightly to avoid evaporation.

-The remedy will last for years, just make sure it doesn't go cloudy before using.
-1 oz dropper bottle can be purchased online or in singles at natural food and natural pharmacies. Do not reuse a bottle that was previously used.
-Store the bottle away from electronics.

This remedy can be used multiple times a day as a 6x cell salt when the symptoms fit or is available as homeopathic for occasional use in times of need.

Water dosing with Homeopathic remedies.

-Water dosing is adding a dose worth of pellets to water and taking a small amount, usually a spoonful as a dose.

-Benefits of water dosing.- 1) Water dosing turns one dose of pellets into multiple doses, saving pellets. 2) With water dosing there is less chance of an aggravation so it is great for individuals who are sensitive to remedies. 3) It is a great way to dose for an acute issue where you are taking multiple doses in a short time.

- Directions for making a water dose- Put 1/2 cup water (filtered, spring, distilled, well water) in a glass, add 1 dose of pellets (you can crush them between 2 spoons), stir the solution. 1 teaspoonful is a dose, use a fresh spoon for each dose. Cover between doses with plastic wrap or a saucer or a jar with a lid can be used. Make a note with remedy name, potency and the date made. The solution lasts about 48 hours on the counter, after that make a fresh solution if still needed. More or less water can be used if desired. You don't need to wait for the remedy to dissolve, the remedy gets into the water as soon as you add it. A general rule of thumb is to take 3 doses per day (about 4-6 hours apart), always stirring before each dose.

Rhus tox tips and tricks-

Homeopathic Rhus toxicodendron, homeopathic poison ivy is known as "the rusty gate remedy". It offers relief for those who feel stiff when they first start moving and better once they have moved around a bit. Another indication is for stiffness that is better from warmth, like a hot pack or warm shower. They often are worse for cold weather and applications.

Ruta is a must have for the home kit. It has an affinity for eyes, tendons, joints, wrists, ankles, cartilage, periosteum (outer layer of the bones). A few indications for Ruta-

Ruta helps complaints of stiffness and weakness. Similar to Rhus tox. in that musculoskeletal complaints are worse first motion, better with continued motion, worse from cold and better from heat.
