✨ During the holidays, it’s easy to let our routines slip without thinking twice. But what if we could approach holiday meals with intention, making conscious eating a gift to ourselves? 🌱

Eating with intention means savoring each bite, truly tasting the flavors, and checking in with how our bodies feel by pausing, breathing, and asking ourselves: “Am I truly hungry, or is this an urge out of habit?” Small moments like these help us stay connected with our bodies and nourish ourselves mindfully.

Let’s make this season about enjoying food and company with purpose, finding joy in both moderation and indulgence. Remember, it’s not about restriction – it’s about making choices that make us feel our best. 💫

(Almost) everyone wants to believe, “it will be better when I….”
Am not so busy
Get more money.
Have partner to lean on.
Have a baby.
Lose weight.
Get that job.
Quit that job.
Am finally on vacation
Stop drinking
Finish that project
Look young
Get that dress
Get more time
Finally do [fill in the blank]
While everything 👆 may make you “feel better” - all these things will also come and go. Soon to be replaced by something else we want. A vicious cycle of what is known as samsara—often repeating itself.
It’s ironic how we dedicate so much of our precious time in life not being happy with how things are right now. And how in hindsight it all makes sense to where we are and why.
It can be hard to focus on pure being, feeling the pure Self in the present moment.
We seem to be only busy filling in what the Self is or wants.
Like I am warm, or cold, or happy or unhappy—we confuse ourselves with an object, quality or condition.
Through self-inquiry and awareness gained in our practice, we try to let go of the filling in and go back to the pure Self
💫 The true Self is beyond time and space, name and form, birth and death, beyond all experience.
The true Self is the observer of all experience, the space in which all happens, and ultimately that what we truly are shines forth in everything 💫
🌺 We will be exploring this during our practice on Sunday, June 12 at 8 AM in Sea Bright. Good for all levels and anyone 14 years old and above.

Beach yoga is back !!!

Excited that we’ll be with you this summer starting next month. It’s happening!!

Four opportunities to join us throughout the week and season below. Classes are for all levels and abilities for anyone from 14 years of age and up. This is not about being perfect in the pose, it’s about showing up to connect with yourself more deeply in nature.

1. For Ship Ahoy beach club members and guests ONLY. — Wednesdays & Saturdays at 8am

2. For everyone—locals only spot, Sundays at 8am. As well as monthly full moon ceremonies

The impact of generational trauma is significant.
Intergenerational trauma is a concept developed to help explain years of generational challenges within families. It is the transmission (or sending down to younger generations) of the oppressive or traumatic effects of a historical event.


For example, a great grandmother who was placed in a concentration camp in Germany may have learned to cope by “cutting off” her emotions. Because of this, this grandmother may interact with her family in an emotionally distant fashion. The transmission of the historical trauma may begin to negatively affect her grandchildren and her grandchildren’s children, etc., leading to generations of emotional distance, defensive behaviors around expression of emotions, and denial.


According to mental health professionals, trauma informed interventions and therapy can equip you with tools to change deeply embedded patterns and heal yourself and generations after you.
Even if you do not have your own memories of the trauma, a trauma-informed approach to care can help you manage your body’s physiological response to intergenerational trauma.


It can be healed even in the context of continuing stressors with the tools, inner resources, and support needed to care for symptoms and heal the root cause of the intergenerational trauma on physical/somatic, emotional, mental, cellular, and ancestral levels.

Happy spring holidays - Easter, Passover & Ramadan - to you all 🌸 🐣

Spring is the best time of year for out with the old and in with the new.

The symbolism of rebirth and new life that is synonymous with the beginning of spring holds true to our state of mind. Take this time to assess day-to-day routines and mindsets, and decide what’s working and what’s not. Once there is awareness, replace routines and mindsets no longer serving you with routines and habits that support a refreshed version of yourself.

To help you on your way, here are four tips to assess, let go, and make positive changes in your life:

1. Make space & take inventory - take dedicated time for you and take an inventory of where you’re at. And what do you want?

2. Set your intention- dream big and then write steps for how you’ll get there. Reference your goals and actions to align regularly!

3. Take care of your body- keep your mind / body in balance by moving your body consistently and breathing deeply.

4. Stay positive- don’t beat yourself up, self growth is hard ! Keep a gratitude journal, try to create more positive thinking by immersing yourself in inspirational books, podcasts, & nature
