Hi Fair Lawn!!! My name is Brooke! I joined FLVAC in March of 2025. Since joining I have had the opportunity to learn not only about medical care but about the community. The members of the fair lawn ambulance corps are fun, welcoming, and focused on helping you reach your goals. As a sophmore in college, planning to become a PA the experiences I have gained here are invaluable. By becoming part of FLVAC I have been able to fulfill my hopes to help people in ways I couldn’t imagine. In the short time I’ve been part of the team I have learned to use compassion, respect, and professionalism in all areas of my life. The lessons and morals that have been instilled in me by FLVAC are ones I hope to keep with me forever!

Throwback Thursday: 2020
When the COVID-19 pandemic took prom away, FLVAC stepped in to bring the celebration back. The night became even more special as our duty crew celebrated a successful CPR save—a true reminder of why we do what we do.

Hi! My name is Zak and I’ve been a member of the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps for about 1 year as an affilaite member. I started my journey in EMS at 16 and became an EMT shortly thereafter. Aside from volunteering with FLVAC, I also work in EMS full time. After becoming friends with several members, I wanted to join FLVAC and be a part of a team that’s community driven and has focused, compassiante patient care. Being a part of FLVAC has given me many memories and friendships, and I’m proud to be part of such an amazing organziation!

Today’s Throwback Thursday brings us back to the 2024 Holiday Parade of Lights and Winter Wonderland. Our crew had a blast meeting Santa & Mrs. Claus as well as meeting all of Fair Lawn’s elves! We hope to see you at this year’s Holiday Parade of Lights and Winter Wonderland on Sunday, December 7th!

Hi, I’m Emily and I have been part of FLVAC since October 2024. I’m currently a freshman in college majoring in Biology. I joined FLVAC because I’ve always been drawn to helping others and wanted to make a real difference in the community. The idea of being there for people during emergencies really inspired me. I was also interested in learning valuable medical and life-saving skills that could prepare me for a future in healthcare. Beyond that, being part of FLVAC gives me a sense of purpose and teamwork, knowing that every call I respond to matters. If you are thinking of joining this wonderful community I would 100% do it.
