Gardenside residents baked cookies to support a fundraiser for Fairbury High School students preparing for a trip to Europe in May 2026. The students offered the treats during the intermission of the Fairbury Community Concerts on Thursday, Nov. 6, for free-will donations!

JCHL Gardenside veterans were honored Tuesday. They and Cedarwood veterans had a police es**rt to Fairbhry Jr Sr High School for a special program. They received tokens of appreciation from Gardenside and Quivera Chapter DA R. A Quilt of Valor was presented to Keith "Mike" Slater. Veteran Mark Schoenrock spoke. Veterans honored were Don Mahman, Norris Gold, Mike Slater, Keith Snyder, and Mark Schmidt. Thank you, veterans, for your service!
