Join us for a favorite community tradition 🌸🥗
The Spring Salad Festival, hosted by the JCH&L Auxiliary, returns Thursday, May 7 at the Fairbury Elks Lodge. Since 1965, this event has brought our community together for food, fellowship, and a shared purpose. Funds raised support the Auxiliary’s work, including scholarships for future healthcare professionals, gifts for Gardenside residents, and volunteer projects across JCH&L.

Burkley Fitness Center Manager Jen Johnson continued her fitness and health program this week with second graders at Central School in Fairbury! Students got moving with cardio, agility, and stretching exercises while learning how staying active helps keep their bodies strong and healthy. It was a fun, hands-on way to build healthy habits early. 🏃‍♂️

Our Healthcare Heroes program continued last week with a fun and active session led by Burkley Fitness Center Manager Jen Johnson. Third graders learned that healthcare isn’t just in hospitals, it also includes careers that keep our community healthy and moving. From fitness to wellness, every role makes a difference! 💪
We love partnering with Fairbury Public Schools to inspire the next generation right here in our community. 💙

We appreciated the opportunity to connect, and the food was delicious!

🎶Residents at JCH&L Gardenside enjoyed a special visit from bagpiper John Hibberd yesterday. John closed the monthly memorial service with a beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace and then shared a program with residents.
During his visit, John answered many questions about the history of bagpipes, Scottish heritage, and the connection between bagpipes and firefighters. It was a meaningful and memorable afternoon for everyone who attended.
