Last Friday was costume day!! Since we couldn’t have our Halloween social due to lockdown, we decided to bring the carts back out & bring the Halloween spirit to the residents rooms! They loved it!

Identifies resident care needs and provides direct nursing care according to the individual plan of care and as directed by charge nurse.

Completes all activities of daily living; e.g., bathing, feeding, grooming, toileting etc., in accordance with established policies and procedures and prescribed timeframes.

Properly answers call bells in a timely fashion for assigned residents and any other residents on the nursing unit.

Under the direction of the Charge Nurse, utilizes appropriate individualized behavior monitoring techniques with residents in accordance with interdisciplinary plan of care.

Accompanies residents to physicians’ offices for consultation, remain with and assist during the visit.

Strictly adheres to infection control and safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Reports incidents, accidents or changes in condition to the Charge Nurse immediately.

Maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information in accordance with HIPAA and other federal and state regulations.

Performs all tasks and duties in an efficient and safe manner.

Happy Activity Professional’s Week! The Activity Department here at FRNC has been working hard to keep our residents entertained & active during these trying months! Whether it be random dance parties, hallway bingo, or crafty corners, they always do their best to keep smiles on the residents faces. Although they enjoy the smiles they receive while implementing those activities, there is nothing they enjoy more than the smiles they get to see every week during those family video calls! The Activities Department wears many hats, but their favorite hat is the one that brings the joy to our residents & families!

We created some vision boards with the residents today to set our intentions for the year 2021! Some popular goals were to stay corona-free & getting to hug families again! We will continue to fight daily & do our part to make sure they reach those goals here at FRNC! 💪🏼👍🏽❤️
