Hazel earned this prestigious recognition for her outstanding dedication to creating person-centered care. Through her tireless work in developing standard operating procedures, care plans, workflows, and processes, she has significantly enhanced the quality and consistency of care for the individuals we serve.

Honoring Our Roots: A Special Visit from Remé-Antonia Grefalda

This past week, Premium Care USA had the honor of welcoming Remé-Antonia Grefalda [center, blue vest], a distinguished author, playwright, and cultural advocate whose family holds a special place in our company’s history.

Before founding Premium Care USA, our CEO Edgardo Arbolado and COO John Iver, MSN, RN, CDP began their journey in the United States as caregivers. Among the many lives they touched during that time was Reme’s beloved mother, a relationship that left a lasting impact and helped inspire the vision behind what would eventually become Premium Care USA, a world class home care agency built on compassion, excellence, and respect for every individual’s story.

Reme’s own story is one of creativity, leadership, and cultural stewardship. She is the author of "baring more than soul: poems," and "The Other Blue Book: On The High Seas of Discovery," co-author of the Ford Foundation report, "Towards A Cultural Community: Identity, Education and Stewardship in Filipino American Performing Arts," and a recipient of the Philippines’ prestigious Palanca Award for her play, "In the Matter of Willie Grayson," produced and staged at Howard University in Washington, D.C. She is also the founder and editor of "Our Own Voice," founding director of the Asian and Pacific Islander Collection at The Library of Congress, and founder of Qbd Ink, a Washington D.C. based theater group.

Her visit was a meaningful moment of connection and a reminder of how acts of care can ripple forward into legacies of purpose and service.

Annandale, VA – September 30, 2025 – Premium Care USA proudly participated in the “Golden Years, Golden Careers – Health and Wealth Fair for Jobseekers 50 and Older,” sponsored by the Virginia Works Department of Workforce Development and Advancement. Premium Care Solutions Philippines Inc., a subsidiary of Premium Care USA, is proud to announce the upcoming completion of its new headquarters this December 2025 in Pueblo de Panay, the largest township development in the Visayas.

The facility will serve as the company’s main office and dedicated BPO hub, supporting U.S. clients in healthcare, IT, accounting, and other back-office operations. It will also house a healthcare informatics simulation lab, giving students hands-on experience alongside global professionals while merging education, innovation, and service excellence under one roof.

Premium Care USA and Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod Sign Global Healthcare Education Partnership

Fairfax, VA, USA - Premium Care USA (PCUSA), a leading healthcare provider in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area, and Colegio San Agustin - Bacolod (CSA-B) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Agreement to strengthen student mobility, internationalization, and innovation in healthcare education.

The signing took place at PCUSA’s headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. Representing CSA-B were Dr. Helen Salgado, PhD, RN and Ms. Lourdes Ivaliz Iledan-Causing, MN, RN. PCUSA was represented by Edgardo Arbolado, Jr., Founder and CEO, John Iver, MSN, RN, CDP, Co-Founder and COO, Catherine Arbolado, CFO, and Hazel Dichoso, BSN, RN, CDP, Director of Nursing.

More Than a Movie: A Wake-up Call on Family, Sacrifice, and Self-Preservation

It is not only in the workplace where people encounter toxic relationships or unhealthy social environments. Sometimes the most difficult challenges come from within our own homes and personal circles.

This reality is at the heart of "How To Get Away From My Toxic Family," a 2025 Filipino drama directed by Law Fajardo and written by John Bedia. The film tells the story of Arsenio, an Overseas Filipino Worker played by Zanjoe Marudo, who returns to the Philippines and finds himself struggling with his family’s toxic behaviors and overwhelming expectations. With Susan Africa joining the cast, the film highlights themes of sacrifice, family loyalty, and the importance of establishing personal boundaries.

What sets this movie apart is its honesty. Many viewers describe it as a “slap of reality” because it mirrors situations that are painfully relatable. It speaks to the experiences of countless Filipinos at home and abroad who find themselves carrying emotional weight that is rarely acknowledged.

On September 7, 2025, Premium Care USA was honored to be one of the major sponsors of the private screening held at LOOK Cinema in Tysons Corner. The event was a success with a full house audience that responded warmly to the film’s timely message.

This film underscores that conversations about mental health, self preservation, and boundaries should not be confined to professional settings. They are equally important in our personal lives where the effects of toxic environments can be just as damaging. By supporting initiatives that bring these issues into the open, we create opportunities for dialogue, empathy, and meaningful change.
