Stay tuned for our Painting Through Grief Workshop!

We will be hosting a Painting Through Grief workshop, offering participants a creative and supportive space to express emotions through art. The workshop will encourage healing, reflection, and connection by using painting as a nonverbal form of expression.

It will be open to community members of all ages and experience levels—no art background required. Our participants will be guided through the process in a calm, welcoming environment focused on comfort and self-expression.

“Just a dog?” Absolutely not! We understand that pets hold a special place in our hearts and families. Here are three heartfelt ways to honor the memory of your beloved furry friend and celebrate the love you shared:

1. Personalized Memorials - Craft a keepsake like a memorial stone, plaque, or framed photo that truly reflects their unique spirit and the joy they brought to your life.

2. Cremation Keepsakes - Select a keepsake urn, a piece of jewelry, or a paw-print tribute to keep their memory close to your heart.

3. Meaningful Remembrance - Consider planting a tree or creating a garden in their honor, or design a cozy memory space at home where you can pause to reflect and cherish their memory.

Winter's Promise

The sky is a sheet of dull gray steel,
The frost has silenced the woodland wheel.
With limbs all bare and breath a ghost,
The winter holds the world engrossed.
Yet, in this quiet, cold retreat,
A stronger heart begins to beat.
Beneath the drift of silent snow,
The sleeping roots prepare to grow.
Oh, do not fear the biting chill,
For life holds fast, enduring still.
The darkest night, the deepest freeze,
Just whispers softly: Spring’s at ease.
For even when the days are bleak,
The sun begins to search and seek,
To prove that ice will turn to rain,
And green will surely come again

Our Story

Welcome to the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home page. As a new funeral home, we are honored to serve you under the same philosophy and management style that has separated Fairfax Memorial Park from other area cemeteries: service and commitment. Special care is given to accommodate the customs and traditions of the families we serve. In these times where there are fewer and fewer individuals and corporations willing to follow a commitment to accept their obligations and responsibilities, the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home will continue to take pride in our communities, and strive to carry through our obligation and dedication to our families as we have maintained through Fairfax Memorial Park Cemetery since 1957. Our commitment now extends to our funeral home, our community, staff, colleagues and associates to continue the true tradition of personal service.
