We’re excited to share that Caroline Campesi, DPT, from our team at Schroth DC, was recently featured in Chronic Pain Partners in an expert Q&A discussing scoliosis care for individuals with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and hypermobility disorders.
Patients with connective tissue disorders often experience scoliosis differently. Pain, instability, fatigue, and functional limitations don’t always correlate with curve size alone. Instead, joint laxity, neuromuscular control, breathing mechanics, and postural stability play a significant role in how patients experience their condition.
In the interview, Caroline discusses how these factors influence spinal stability and why individualized rehabilitation approaches such as the Schroth Method can play an important role in long-term care.
At Schroth DC, we believe education and collaboration help move the field forward. Conversations like this bring greater awareness to conservative scoliosis care and help patients better understand their options.
Thank you to for continuing to support education and advocacy within the EDS community.
