Under the medical direction of Mylene Tran Huynh, MD, MPH, TruPoint Health provides functional assessments and delivers integral healing. Dr. Mylène Huynh is board certified in both Family Practice and Preventive Medicine with over 20 years experience in integrative health and medical acupuncture. Dr. Huynh’s passion is health and healing with a life mission to help her patients prevent and reverse chronic diseases by addressing the root causes of illness. She is a Functional Medicine practitioner with special interest and training in Mindfulness Meditation, Nutrition, Lifestyle Medicine, and evidence-based approaches to reversing chronic diseases. Dr. Huynh obtained both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She completed a US Air Force (USAF) career as a flight surgeon, family medicine faculty, consultant to the USAF Surgeon General on Preventive Medicine and International Health. In addition to TruPoint Health, she serves as an integrative pain physician at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Dr. Huynh holds an appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD.

The Uniformed Services University’s Consortium for Health and Military Performance (CHAMP) is working with a new task force to help military community members stay strong during the pandemic.

“The epidemic of lifestyle-related chronic diseases in the U.S. is making us vulnerable to severe complications associated with COVID-19,” says retired Air Force Col. (Dr.) Mylene T. Huynh, adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics at USU.
