Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) provides families with convenient access to the highest quality pediatric care via several locations in the region, including Ashburn, Fairfax, and Woodbridge. Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) was created by Children's National Health System and Inova, as a unique, Northern Virginia based, physician-led group practice dedicated exclusively to the needs of children. All donations to PSV are considered tax exempt contributions

PSV CEO and orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Laurel Blakemore presented at Pediatric Spine Foundation’s 19th International Congress on Early Onset Scoliosis (ICEOS) and the Growing Spine, held November 5–7 in Cannes, France!

The international meeting brought together top pediatric spine experts to share ideas, discuss new research, and collaborate on ways to improve care for children with complex scoliosis. Way to go, Dr. Blakemore!

Today, we join together in gratitude to honor the members of our PSV family who have served in the US military. Their courage, dedication, and service to our country reflect the same strength and compassion they bring to our patients and colleagues every day.

In recognition of Veterans Day, we’re proud to share photos of PSV’s own veterans—our teammates who have worn the uniform and continue to make a difference through their work in pediatric care.

PSV was proud to take part in Inova Children's 19th Annual Mohsen Ziai Pediatric Conference on November 7–8 at the Inova Center for Personalized Health! This two-day event brought together pediatric professionals from across the region to explore the latest advances in child health—from genetic testing and vaccine responsiveness to mental health, AI in pediatrics, and health equity.

Five PSV specialists shared their expertise this year:

Why You Should Consider This with Your Next ACL Reconstruction” at the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO) Annual Fall Meeting, held October 23–25, 2025, at the Ga***rd National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

The AOAO Annual Fall Meeting brings together experts in orthopaedic surgery to advance the education and development of osteopathic orthopaedic surgeons, supporting the delivery of the highest quality musculoskeletal care.

It was a great day of learning, conversation, and connection with pediatric professionals from across the region. Our speakers delivered thoughtful sessions that sparked meaningful discussion and shared practical, real-world expertise across a range of pediatric topics. A huge thank you as well to everyone who helped organize and support the event behind the scenes—your work made the day come together!

Along with engaging sessions and time to connect with colleagues, everyone enjoyed a welcoming atmosphere and great hospitality throughout the day. We’re excited to keep building this event and can’t wait to see everyone again next year!
