“Surgery does not end at the last stitch, but two or three months later after the patient has fully recovered.” That is why I like to include an additional post op visit two or three months after the procedure which I call a “surgical debrief.” I want to know what is a 10, what was an eight and what was a nine. Even if something is not a 10, and even if we can’t make it better, I want to know so we can both be aware of it and I can keep getting better.
