Church Safety: Protecting Your Congregation

This 2 hour class is specifically designed to help Houses of Worship establish and/or enhance their Emergency Operation Plans for mitigating, responding to, and recovering from an active shooter event. Topics discussed will include: Special Considerations for Houses of Worship, Hard-Targeting, EAP/EOP, Escape/Evade, Delay/Deny/Defend, Disarming, Response times, Medical Response, Reunification, Counseling Considerations, Case Studies, and much more!

Attendees will walk away with a roadmap of how to increase security and safety for staff, members, and guests, and an understanding of how to create a feeling of safety and security for everyone within the House of Worship. Certificates of Training, which can be added to their Training Folders, will be awarded to successful students. Plan for approximately 2 hours of classroom time at your location.

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)

The origins of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) can be traced back to the military's Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) guidelines, which were created to improve the survivability of combatants on the battlefield. TECC was developed as a response to the increasing frequency and severity of high-threat incidents in civilian settings.

TECC topics focus on managing severe trauma in high-risk, civilian situations (like active shooters, terrorism) by covering Hemorrhage Control, the MARCH Assessment, Airway control, treating wounded responders, pediatric care, and victim extraction, structured across Direct Threat, Indirect Threat, and Evacuation Phases.
