Let’s talk tempos!! These snapshots perfectly illustrate why we utilize tempo training in our programming regularly. To state it simply, it teaches athletes how to own all of the positions and important points of performance in the movements by taking super dynamic action out of the equation.

💪🏼 Slowing the tempo down and working iso holds organically limits the amount of load that can be used for the given lift. Why does that matter? Because maximal effort + submaximal loading = a perfect formula for longevity and functional mobility!

If you are simply just thrashing yourself every day with high intensity, work, your long-term progress will stall QUICKLY! Effective variance means doing hard things in an intelligent way! It goes way beyond just getting a sweat in every day.

School is back. The routine is back.
So guess what?
Your “I just don’t have time” excuse… Is out of time.

You schedule work.
You schedule soccer practice
You schedule drop offs
It’s time to schedule YOU!

One hour per day is about 4% of your time
You can’t give yourself 4%??

It’s not about time, it’s about priorities.
If you aren’t working on yourself, you are living the message that it’s just not important.
Stop waiting for life to slow down. It won’t.

Just make that first phone call, we can do the rest to help you!

💪The CrossFit Burke credo!!

✅If you’ve been into our classes, you’ve seen these three words on the whiteboard almost every day… Mechanics, consistency, and intensity.

They are expressed in that order for a very good reason and layered into our programming accordingly…

➡️Simply put, learn to do it well first.

➡️Then make sure you are doing it frequently (at LEAST 3 days per week)…

➡️Then and only then do you layer in intensity (with high tempo, heavy loading, and advanced skill).

This isn’t always the sexy answer, but it is absolutely a fool proof code to success!
