Many men quietly struggle with po*******hy and sexual temptation. This struggle often brings shame, isolation, and frustration, leaving many feeling stuck in patterns they truly want to break.

You are not alone, and freedom is possible.

Pursuing Purity: Living in Freedom. Walking with Christ is a six week group designed for men who want to pursue sexual integrity, strengthen their relationship with God, and build practical habits that support lasting change.

This group provides a supportive, confidential environment where men can grow together while developing tools for real transformation.

During the group, participants will:
• Understand how po*******hy affects the male brain and relationships
• Reduce shame while increasing personal responsibility
• Reframe masculinity and intimacy through a biblical lens
• Establish practical rhythms that support recovery and spiritual growth
• Build sustainable accountability with other Christian men

It’s 11:30 PM. You’re tired. Your eyes hurt. You know you should be sleeping. But you’re trapped in the infinite scroll.
If you’ve ever felt “stuck” to your screen, please hear this: You aren’t lazy, and you don’t lack self-discipline.

What you are experiencing is likely Functional Freeze. When your day is filled with high-stress demands, your nervous system can become overwhelmed.

Instead of a full “shutdown,” it enters a state of “numbing out.” Scrolling provides a low-effort stream of dopamine that distracts you from the exhaustion or anxiety you aren’t ready to process yet. It’s your brain’s way of hitting the “mute” button on life.

The Practice: The next time you catch yourself in the “Doom-Scroll Fog,” don’t beat yourself up. That only adds more stress to your system. Instead, try a Sensory Reset.

Instead of telling your brain to “stop scrolling,” tell your body to “feel something else.”
    •    Grip an ice cube.
    •    Do five jumping jacks.
    •    Smell something strong (like peppermint or coffee beans).

These small physical jolts help signal to your nervous system that it’s safe to come out of the fog and move toward actual, restorative rest.

Is “Revenge Bedtime Procrastination” your nightly habit?  Tag a friend who needs to hear that it’s okay to put the phone down and just be.

When something good happens, don’t rush past it.
Your brain is wired to hold onto stress longer than joy. But when you intentionally savor a positive moment for 60–90 seconds, you strengthen neural pathways connected to safety and contentment.
Let the laugh linger.Replay the compliment.Pause in the warmth.
Joy grows when we let it register.
What’s one small moment you can savor today?

If everyone is annoying you by 3PM… it might not be them.
Irritability is often a glucose crash.
Your brain reads low fuel as stress.
Pair your carbs.
Add protein.
Stabilize your blood sugar.
Stable energy = stable mood.
You’re not mean.
You’re under-fueled.

We’ve all been there. Someone asks for a favor, and before you can even check your calendar, the word “Yes” has already left your mouth. Then comes the immediate pit in your stomach.
In the therapy world, we often call this the Fawn Response. When your nervous system feels overwhelmed or unsafe, it might default to “people-pleasing” as a way to diffuse conflict and ensure you stay “safe” or valued by the group. Your brain isn’t just being “nice”—it’s trying to protect you by making sure no one is unhappy with you.

The cost? You end up over-committed, resentful, and completely disconnected from your own needs.

The Practice: The next time you’re asked for something, try the “20-Minute Gap.”

Use a phrase like:
    •    “Let me check my schedule and get back to you.”
    •    “I need to see what my capacity looks like for that day.”

This gives your nervous system time to come down from the “Fawn” spike so you can answer from your heart, not your anxiety.

The Call to Action: Which one is hardest for you to say “No” to?
 A) Work requests
 B) Family favors
 C) Social outings

 Let’s chat in the comments.

Ever notice anxiety spike after the chaos ends?
You’re not broken — your nervous system is adjusting.
When your body is used to survival mode, calm can feel unfamiliar… even unsafe. Stillness gives space for emotions that busyness once buried. Anxiety isn’t always about danger — sometimes it’s about change.
🧠 Peace can feel threatening before it feels peaceful.
Healing can feel uncomfortable before it feels safe.
