Teen dating violence isn’t always physical — and that’s why it often goes unnoticed.
Control, isolation, constant checking, manipulation, and fear can quietly replace trust and safety. Many teens don’t recognize these patterns because they’re rarely taught what healthy love actually looks like.
Awareness matters because early relationships shape how young people understand boundaries, consent, and self-worth for years to come.
Healthy love should feel safe, respectful, and mutual — every time.

Burnout doesn’t just live in your calendar — it lives in your body.
When your nervous system has been running on overdrive for too long, it starts sending signals that feel confusing, intense, or even alarming. That doesn’t mean something is “wrong” with you. It means your body is asking for regulation, not more pushing.
Racing thoughts. Sudden exhaustion. Emotional numbness. Feeling on edge for no clear reason. These are not personal failures — they’re physiological responses to prolonged stress.

🧠 Your body isn’t betraying you.
It’s communicating.

Learning to regulate your nervous system can be the first step toward healing — not hustling harder.

Stalking is more common than many realize. According to the National Center for Victims of Crime:

• 1 in 6 women and 1 in 17 men will experience stalking in their lifetime.

• Stalking often involves repeated unwanted contact, monitoring, or threats, and can escalate to serious violence.

• Emotional, psychological, and physical impacts are significant, affecting safety, mental health, and quality of life.

What you can do:
• Trust your instincts—if someone is making you feel unsafe, take it seriously.

• Keep records of unwanted contact, messages, or incidents.

• Reach out to local law enforcement or victim support organizations for help.

• Create a safety plan for your home, online, and social spaces.

Raising awareness helps reduce stigma, educate communities, and protect potential victims. Safety starts with knowledge.

Emotional avoidance may reduce discomfort in the short term, but research consistently shows it increases anxiety and stress over time. Suppressed emotions remain physiologically active in the body, keeping the nervous system in a state of tension.
Studies in affect regulation indicate that acknowledging and processing emotions reduces amygdala reactivity and improves emotional resilience. Avoidance, on the other hand, reinforces fear pathways in the brain.
Strength isn’t the absence of emotion.
Strength is the ability to experience emotions without being controlled by them.
Therapy teaches skills to process emotions safely rather than suppress them.

Life is full of unknowns, and uncertainty can be intimidating. But trusting God gives us courage, knowing that He controls what we cannot. When we release worry and lean on His promises, fear loses its power over us.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” — Matthew 6:34

Research on burnout shows that chronic stress without adequate recovery disrupts cortisol regulation, sleep cycles, and emotional resilience. Over time, this can lead to exhaustion, irritability, reduced motivation, and physical symptoms.
Self-awareness allows individuals to recognize early warning signs, adjust expectations, and engage in sustainable routines. Therapy strengthens this awareness by helping people identify patterns before they become harmful.
Sustainable success is built through regulation, not relentless pressure.

All we are guaranteed is this very moment. Breathe it in. Make it count. Don’t waste your days living in discontent. A heart that focuses on what’s missing can blind us to the abundance already present in our lives. Choose joy today. Savor the small blessings. Let gratitude shape your perspective and transform your life.

Willpower relies on the prefrontal cortex—the part of the brain responsible for decision-making, focus, and self-control. Under chronic stress, trauma, or anxiety, this area becomes less effective while the nervous system stays in a heightened state of survival.
When your body perceives ongoing threat, it prioritizes safety over logic. This is why “trying harder” often fails when stress is high. Healing requires regulation, not just motivation.
Therapy helps individuals identify nervous system responses, reduce chronic activation, and build regulation skills that restore balance between the brain and body.
Mental health change happens when the nervous system feels safe enough to change.
