THAT SYNCING FEELING
[MIND & BODY]

One week you're crushing your workouts, the next you can barely get off the couch. Sound familiar?

Your personal failure might be a biological signal.

Cycle syncing is all about ditching the one-size-fits-all approach to wellness and learning to work with your body's natural rhythms, not against them.

Check out how to get started.

QUESTION: Do you notice your energy or mood change throughout the month? Tell us in the comments!

YOU'RE LOOKING AT IT WRONG
[HEALTHY THINKING]
✏️ Adam Moore ()

"The wound is the place where the Light enters you."-Rumi.

Blind spots... those impulsively self-destructive, shadowy areas of our awareness that mysteriously 'pop up' as unwanted habits, are simultaneously also fantastic beacons of insight into why we do the things we do (and how to stop doing them).

They show us through our own reoccurring thoughts and actions where the pain is, and point to where our inner work still needs to be done.

When you stop turning away from your blind spots and instead have the courage to gaze into them head on, you begin to realize that the goal isn't figuring out *how* to stop consuming that bowl of ice cream (glass of wine… puff of weed…) each night.

The goal is figuring out why you do it to begin with.

Which personal blind spot are you looking to stare down in 2026?

IS IT REALLY ADHD OR JUST THEIR BIRTHDAY?
[HEALTHY THINKING]
✏️

If you have a kiddo born in August and it’s been suggested they might have ADHD, you need to know about the Relative Age Effect, the invisible factor behind a wave of misdiagnoses.

This one detail shapes thousands of ADHD labels every year, and can dictate a child’s medical path for years to come.

Sometimes the difference between a positive diagnosis and no diagnosis... is just a birthday.

A COMMON SCENTS APPROACH TO HEALING
[LIFESTYLE]
✏️

When we first built WHEELHOUSE we thought a lot about the patient experience. We didn’t know exactly what it would look like but we knew what we wanted it to FEEL like.

Warm, calm, embracing… a place that traded the white coat anxiety you get at most doctors offices for a sense of peace and tranquility.

There’s lots of ways to regulate the nervous system, but one of the quickest is through your nose.

In a 2023 study, patients who inhaled chamomile essential oil during stressful hospital stays showed nearly 50% lower anxiety scores and reduced heart rate and blood pressure. And in another clinical trial, women who inhaled bergamot essential oil for just 15 minutes experienced a 25% drop in cortisol, the body’s main stress hormone.

I love custom blending our environmental scents to match our seasonal vibe, and if you come by you’ll get to experience them firsthand.

Just another way we’re helping patients !

WORK TO REST RATIO
[WELLNESS]
✏️

Did you know that bees take naps in flowers?

Bees naturally know when and how to rest.

Us? Not so much.

Humans once worked just 2 to 4 hours a day and still met all of their biological and social needs. Today, we average over 7 hours of work per day, often without meaningful recovery and we are struggggling just to feel ok.

Sound familiar?

Check out how the latest developments in behavioral science, cognitive performance, and recovery research can help you reclaim a healthier work to rest ratio.

Need help actually putting it into practice? Let’s talk.

Happy National Interns Day!

WHEELHOUSE was built on one simple truth…
People thrive when they have a team behind them.

The same goes for us.

For seven years, our Marketing & PR Internship Program has brought together some of the brightest, most creative minds to build a team that continues to inspire us and the people we serve.

Every semester brings new energy, fresh ideas, and standout talent.

It has been incredible to watch our interns grow, take ownership, and carry what they have learned into the world.

Now, with just over four weeks left in this summer’s program, we are interviewing for our fall team of next-level visionaries.

Know a college student who is creative, driven, and interested in innovative health approaches?

DM us or 📩: hr@WHEELHOUSE.health

Let’s build something great together.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
♥️
After you discover what your candy says about your love style, check below to see what added health benefits you may be getting from your momentary indulgence!

1. Chocolate Caramel
Chocolate contains theobromine, a stimulant that can release endorphins and improve mood. It also contains tryptophan, a precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin, which can promote feelings of happiness and relaxation. Meanwhile, caramel is mostly sugar which gives a nice turbo boost to the endorphin rush you’re already getting from the chocolate.

2. Coconut Cluster
Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) found in coconut oil can cross the blood-brain barrier and provide energy to the brain, potentially improving cognitive function. Coconuts also help lower bad (LDL) cholesterol and improve heart health.

3. Salted Milk Chocolate
Salt is our most essential electrolyte which helps regulate hydration, conduct nerve impulse, stabilize blood pressure and stimulates digestive enzymes aiding in nutrient absorption. Sure too much salt can be a problem but not having enough can be an even bigger one!

4. Sugar Hearts
Sugar is our primary energy source and essential for sustaining proper cell function. In fact your brain runs almost entirely on it which is why as soon as sugar enters your system your body shunts 80% of it to your brain, reserving the remaining 20% for organ and muscle function! If you’re feeling foggy headed, low glucose is often a big reason why.

5. Pecan Delight
Pecans are a good source of magnesium, which plays a role in regulating hormones and can be an aid in reducing PMS symptoms. They’re also high in vitamin B6 and copper, which support brain health and cognitive function!
