The 3 second reset. So when you notice overthinking, start taking a slow breath in for 4 seconds.
Hold it for 2 seconds and exhale for 6 seconds. This activates the vagus nerve and signals safety to your brain.

The thought dump technique write down the thought in one sentence. This is one of my favorites. Personal favorites is as true is as helpful.

What action can I actually take? This moves your thought out of your head and into action.

You also can change your physical state by moving overthinking, you're stuck in your brain.

So walking, stretching, shaking your arms, doing a quick yoga flow. This helps to shift the nervous system out of rumination.
