There’s really only 2 ways to lose weight. Or at least I’m sectioning it into 2 different ways.

Both of them require a calorie deficit. However, one requires eating less food, and the other one requires eating smarter food.

Now, option one, we could eat less food, therefore, we are in a calorie deficit. Smaller portions of the same stuff we’re eating will result in weight loss. Overall weight loss.

Your body doesn’t discriminate against losing weight from fat, muscle, organ, and bone density.

If we go the other route, where we make smarter food choices, we could eat the same amount of food that we’re currently eating.

With better choices, meaning eating lower calorie foods, not packaged foods, but I mean in the sense of whole foods, vegetables, low calorie natural foods, foods that grow from the planet. Those are foods that will result in a weight loss when you eat the same amount that you’re currently eating.

The difference between these 2 is that option one, you have to get used to eating smaller portions. You have to get comfortable with feeling hungry.

Versus option 2, you have to change what you’re eating. You don’t have to get used to feeling hungry. When you eat, whole foods, natural foods, produce, meats, cheeses, whatnot.

When you eat more naturally or closer to natural, your body gets the nutrients it needs, it feels satiated (meaning it feels full). As well as your body is fueled. It’s fueled with High quality proteins, high quality carbohydrates, that are also low calorie. And high quality fats.

The difference between those 2 is when you take option one, which is eating less, and option two, which is eating smarter, both will result in a weight loss when you adhere to the programs.

However, option one doesn’t discriminate against what kind of weight you’re losing, whereas option 2, when you eat closer to whole, eat more natural foods. Your body will preserve, especially when you’re eating enough protein, your body will preserve its muscle mass and actually skip to the energy system that utilizes body fat for energy.

💡 Client spotlights 💡

These two have been friends for a lifetime!

Both recognize the importance of strength training. Individually, each woman started working with me to build strength at home and improve the movements of daily life with functional exercises, as well as some challenging ones to build balance, coordination, increase muscle mass, and look good too 💪😉

Hey yall! 🧗🏻‍♀️ Join me at for a 3-part series: Climbers Strength: Off-the-Wall, Functional Strength for Climbers.

This is a 3-part workshop 2/7, 3/7, 4/4 @ 6pm

Use the link below or in my bio to sign up for all 3 workshops!

IzzyFit Rock Climbers Strength: Off-the-Wall Workshop Series
Climb stronger by training smarter—off the wall.

The IzzyFit Rock Climbers Strength: Off-the-Wall Workshop Series is a progressive, three-part strength training experience designed to help climbers build real, usable strength that directly translates to better climbing performance.

This isn’t random lifting or generic workouts. Each workshop builds on the last—taking you from control → strength → power—so you move better, climb stronger, and feel more confident every time you hit the wall.

What You’ll Train

Workshop 1: Bodyweight Strength & Control
Build the foundation. Improve core control, shoulder and hip stability, balance, and full-body tension so every move feels more intentional and efficient.

Workshop 2: Strength Training for Climbers
Add load with purpose. Learn how to use weight training to increase pulling strength, lower-body drive, and total-body stability—all without interfering with your climbing.

Workshop 3: Explosive Strength & Power
Turn strength into performance. Develop explosive power, speed, and coordination for dynamic moves and confident, powerful climbing.

Who This Is For

Climbers looking to break through strength or performance plateaus

Climbers who want better movement, not just more effort

Anyone who wants to climb stronger, safer, and with confidence

No ego. No fluff. Just smart training that works.
